A New Look for Disney's Polynesian Village Resort: Fresh Greenery and Improved Access
The construction of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort's new roadway entrance is well underway, and the latest updates reveal a vibrant transformation. The once-bare dirt areas are now adorned with lush greenery, enhancing the resort's natural ambiance.
A Walkway's Journey
Facing the new entrance from The Great Ceremonial House, a freshly paved sidewalk takes center stage. It gracefully connects to existing sidewalks and crosswalks, eventually leading to the curb in front of the lobby building. The once-bare dirt has been replaced by a delightful array of trees and plants, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Planting Progress
While the dirt hasn't been fully filled in, the planting progress is impressive. Expect to see more plants added in the coming days and weeks, further enriching the landscape. A nearby ramp has been painted, adding a touch of functionality and potentially creating additional parking spots.
Central Roadway Transformation
In the heart of the roadway, grass now blankets areas that will soon become flowerbeds. A few strategically placed trees add to the charm. This central area showcases a harmonious blend of greenery and open spaces.
Parking Area Revamp
On the opposite side of the construction zone, a row of parking spots has been repaved and painted, ensuring a smooth and organized layout. Parking curbs have been added, providing a clear and accessible parking experience. Plants have been introduced around the sidewalk, adding a touch of natural beauty.
New Entrance and Future Changes
The new entrance is conveniently located off Floridian Way, offering a more direct approach to the Great Ceremonial Entrance compared to the current Seven Seas Drive entrance. The current entrance will be designated for bus-only access, streamlining transportation within the resort.
